Operations Manager - Bar

With "Beresford Upstairs" the latest addition to the venue, you will also be responsible for hosting some of the hottest entertainment experiences across the Sydney scene.

This is a rare opportunity for someone special. You must have previous experience in a pub venue with a strong work ethic, a passion for people, hospitality and exceptional communication skills to join this evolving company.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Leading the amazing front of house team to deliver exceptional service standards and a memorable guest experience.
  • Embracing Merivale values and promoting a service orientated and cohesive team culture.
  • Coaching & mentoring individuals and the team to create a harmonious work environment.
  • Talent management and succession planning.
  • Building business relationships and networks.
  • Managing appropriate budgets to ensure the continuation of a profitable business.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and relevant statutes;
  • Management of beverage and food operations.
  • Implementing new promotions and product launches with the marketing team.
  • Cost management

So, what do you need to be considered for this role?

  • A minimum of 5 years managerial experience in a pub style environment;
  • Experience controlling operating costs;
  • Experience in overseeing a range of functions such as gaming, bars and restaurant;
  • Have a passion for delivering a flawless level of guest experience;
  • Sound understanding of licensing laws and statutory compliance;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • The ability to work with a diverse range of clientele.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Enthusiasm, energy and loads of personality.
