Systems Specialist | Merivale

Merivale delivers thousands of events every year. To ensure these events run seamlessly and our guests are consistently impressed by the level of detail, we rely on robust systems to do much of the heavy lifting.

The Systems Specialist is the key custodian of the core systems used by Merivale’s Sales & Events team, including Momentus (Ungerboeck) and Event Hub. This role is responsible for the optimisation, ongoing maintenance, and regular enhancement of these platforms, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of both the department and the broader business. Working closely with the Technology and Finance teams, the Systems Specialist plays a critical role in identifying and resolving business challenges through systems development, process improvement, strategic planning, and organisational change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and manage upgrades and integrations across key systems, including Momentus (Ungerboeck), Event Hub, and other associated platforms.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of critical system functions such as revenue reporting, seasonal menu updates, pricing, and the integration of new features or systems, maintaining up-to-date and reliable content.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and streamline business processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Sales & Events, Technology, Finance, and other Merivale departments.
  • Develop and manage reporting solutions across the business, delivering both current insights and future-focused analytics for stakeholders and venue teams.
  • Onboard and train new users on Momentus, including system configuration, processes, and workflows.

 

Essentials

  • 4+ years’ experience in a similar systems-focused role.
  • Previous experience with Momentus is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to translate technical capability into tangible business value.
  • Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative, can-do mindset.
  • Strong relationship-builder, skilled at influencing and working effectively with internal and external partners.
