The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media and Content Specialist to join our Marketing team and the everchanging world of hospitality. The Social Media and Content Specialist will be responsible for the execution, delivery, reporting and content strategy for Merivale across all brands. This role is dedicated to driving revenue and awareness for Merivale projects through paid social activity. 

 

Responsibilites to include: 

•    Own and execute the social media and content strategy for Merivale across all brands 
•    Community management on social media handles including responding to all questions and comments  
•    Regular content reviews and employ data and customer insights to iterate and improve on existing content 
•    Collaborate with the digital team in development of digital content plans and support in ensuring all communications align with broader brand communications plan, brand positioning, and performance goals 
•    Create content alongside the inhouse creative team, capturing and editing photoshoots for digital channels 
•    Craft copy with consistent tone of voice within brands and ensure alignment of tone of voice across channels 
•    Write and proof copy for all Social Media channels, website, blogs, CRM emails, SMS, push notifications, and direct mail across various parts of the customer journey 
•    Create a loyal and engaged following on social media for all brands in line with KPI’s 
•    Stay up to date with trends, best practices and platform updates for all social media channels 
•    Use Social Media and Google Analytics metrics to expand, evolve, and optimise campaigns  
•    Analyse performance data and communicate findings to colleagues through weekly and monthly reporting 
 
To be successful in this role you must have a few years experience as a Social Media Specialist with deep knowledge of Instagram targeting and advertising, including third party data sources and re-targeting strategies. You’re competent in Instagram and Facebook Business Manager, with a passion for data export, analytics and reporting across various customer intelligence tools. We’re after a team player with an eye for detail, who is pro-active and meticulous in delivering campaigns which are aligned with the Merivale brand.
