The Role

The role of Senior Applications Specialist within the Technology Team, is responsible for supporting the Application Specialists, business system users, and associated technology across a range of key business applications. Working closely with Applications Specialists and other Technology Teams, this role is also required to provide support and guidance to other team members whilst ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the business applications are supported and maintained.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Resolve all issues, incidents, change requests, enhancements and development within key business applications
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise for key applications for both the end users and other Merivale staff
  • Diagnose and resolve technical and user identified issues or defects with predefined solutions
  • Perform analysis and provide advice on design and implementation activities relating to assigned applications
  • Support the implementation of new Business Applications
  • Install and Maintain Software & Hardware
  • Prepare documentation to support the new business applications
  • Some limited on-site support may be required in venue and/or at Merivale Stadiums

 

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • 4+ years of experience in technical support role.
  • An interest in business applications and how they can be best utilised.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications an advantage.
  • Database knowledge including MS SQL desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Internal and external stakeholder management specialist.  
  • Customer service focus, with experience in Hospitality or Retail industries.
