The Role

Merivale is on the lookout for a Sales Manager, who can proactively identify and capture all opportunities in for non-event day functions into Merivale’s Stadiums (SCG & Allianz). Working in a team of sales professionals you will be accountable for converting inbound and proactively develop business opportunities.

Your day will look like the following:

  • Responding to, converting incoming leads, and influencing repeat business.
  • Understand key revenue targets and focus on sales opportunities to achieving these goals.
  • Developing persuasive approaches and pitches to potential clients to do business with Merivale.
  • Responsible for driving commercial and corporate partnerships between Merivale Events, Stadiums and external stakeholders.
  • Hosting venue tours at the stadiums with clients and potential clients to develop new business.
  • Actively hunting and driving new leads and business for Merivale Events through networking and business development strategies.
  • Working closely with Event Managers to provide all necessary briefs for Events to be able to provide consistently amazing guest experience.

 

Essentials

May not necessarily be an event professional but ideally have the following.

  • 4 + Years experience in Sales or business development.
  • An understanding and passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Proven tactical sales skills as well as high attention to detail.
  • Hunger to convert business and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
