Owned and run by the Hemmes family for over 60 years, Merivale began as a fashion house that led Sydney into the swinging sixties for all things music and fashion. With a knack for creativity, “The House of Merivale” injected a new energy into the theatre of Sydney transforming the brand into what we know now as one of the largest leading hospitality empires in Australia.


Remaining true to our heritage, our aim is to bring a little magic into the everyday. The Role 

At Merivale our teams are all about creating unforgettable guest experiences and always striving to be the best at what we do. We are looking for creative, innovative, and engaging Operations Managers to add to our already legendary teams in some of our most premium venues across multiple of our Sydney locations. Some of these include venues like The Beresford, The Grand Hotel, Slip Inn & Establishment just to name a few!

 

We are looking for someone who is committed to embedding themselves in the team and venue, connecting authentically with the community. We build teams who know how to deliver guest experiences like no other.

 

Our leaders are expected to always drive the teams they support to create magical moments for every guest – big and small! 

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

 

  • Understand how to deliver exemplary guest experience. This incredible venue will feel warm and welcoming with a casual tone of engagement. Underpinned by knowledgeable, professional execution.
  • Lead & coach a diverse team of people ensuring that team culture is guest focused, community led, and sales driven.
  • Competency to drive the financial results of the department. Be sales focused, create and lead the team to execute revenue initiatives. Demonstrate proven results in the management of financial controls.
  • Passion for product. Support the extraordinary team of chefs and guarantee you and your teams have a detailed knowledge of the product.
  • Establish a healthy working environment for the team – enjoyable, educational, results focused and respectful.
