The Event Operations Team deliver thousands of events across the Merivale portfolio each year which include some of Sydney’s most iconic venues such as Establishment, ivy, Hotel CBD, Beresford and many, many more.

 

The Role

As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for an experienced Events Operations Manager to join the team, hospitality experience a must. An exciting prospect for someone who is passionate about hospitality, wants to be part of a thriving and diverse team, delivering the best event experiences in the industry.

 

Main accountabilities include:

  • Leadership and supervision of the operations team, ensuring the team deliver exceptional experiences at every stage of the guest’s journey
  • Passion for product. Support the kitchen and front of house teams to deliver consistency around all aspects of food and beverage
  • Promoting a healthy working environment for the team – enjoyable, educational, results focused and respectful
  • Strong attention to detail and maintenance of venue presentation - every little detail matter’s

 

You will have:

  • 2 years’ experience in a banquet and event floor management running medium to large scale events and floor teams.
  • A passionate go-getter attitude with a great eye for detail
  • Strong leadership qualities with the skills to assist in managing a team of 100+ casual workforce.
  • Personality – let your personal brand shine as you lead from the front
  • To display a hands-on collaborative working style showcasing positivity and leadership
  • To be organised, accountable, self-motivated and action orientated
