The Role
As a Learning Designer at Merivale, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering impactful learning experiences that support the growth and development of our people.
You’ll design clear, practical, and engaging learning content across multiple formats—including facilitator guides, scripts, toolkits, SharePoint pages, and eLearning modules.
You’ll be responsible for shaping learning that’s structured, on-brand, and built around real business needs. From storyboards to content outlines, your work will ensure learning flows seamlessly and delivers real results.
Your role will bring clarity and creativity to the learning experience—using instructional design, adult learning theory, and strong writing to craft content that sticks.
Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with Learning Partners, subject matter experts, and designers to bring learning to life across platforms and programs.
Who you are:
- A confident and versatile writer with experience designing learning content.
Skilled in instructional design and adult learning principles. - Able to structure learning that flows logically, engages the learner, and drives outcomes.
- Comfortable working across formats—SharePoint, eLearning, workshops, toolkits, and more.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and consistency in voice and tone.
- A collaborator at heart—enjoy co-creating with others and turning complex info into great learning
- Curious about how people learn and passionate about making learning practical, engaging, and accessible.
- A love and passion for the hospitality industry and curiosity to understand the unique needs of our workforce.
