The Role
As a Learning Designer at Merivale, you will lead and influence the development of innovative learning solutions that align with our strategic business goals. This role is crucial in managing our design and development team, partnering with internal and external learning experts, and driving transformative learning initiatives that support Merivale’s operational excellence and growth.
Overview:
Team Leadership and Management
- Manage the Learning Design and Development team to ensure effective execution of learning projects.
- Oversee the team’s development and ensure high standards of work quality and innovation in learning design.
Strategic Partnership:
- Collaborate with learning partners, both internal and external, to deliver learning solutions that directly support Merivale’s business objectives.
Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy:
- Influence the overall L&D strategy at Merivale, integrating industry trends and best practices to enhance organizational learning.
Design Transformation
- Lead programs to transform learning design within Merivale, focusing on creating high-impact solutions that resonate with diverse learner needs.
- Implement innovative design methodologies and tools to advance learning effectiveness and engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with key stakeholders across the L&D and PX team to design learning solutions that drive performance improvements.
- Facilitate workshops and sessions with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring learning solutions are well-aligned with user requirements
High Impact Learning Solutions
- Design and develop high-impact learning solutions that incorporate the latest in learning science and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Measure and evaluate the impact of learning solutions on employee performance and organizational outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.
Who you are:
- A learning and development professional with experience in designing high-quality, high-impact learning interventions at pace.
- Experienced team-player, collaborating with other L&D and People Experience professionals to problem-solve.
- Experienced at designing across all learning modalities including microlearning.
- Willing to get stuck in and lead the build of world-class learning solutions whilst implementing frameworks and standards.
- Experience working in a newly formed team and fast paced environment.
- Working with stakeholders and subject matter experts at all levels to extract learning needs to design solutions.
- Strong attention to detail. At Merivale, every tiny, painstaking detail, it all matters.
- A love and passion for the hospitality industry and curiosity to understand the unique needs of our workforce.
