Head Chef | Slip Inn

The Venues 

Slip Inn is lively, loud and proud of it. The El Loco brand is offered in both locations, Excelsior in Surry Hills and Slip Inn in the CBD. These cantinas combine food, fun and friends for the ultimate Mexican fiesta.  

The El Loco menu at is similar across the 2 locations and includes a range of mouth-watering dishes, including Mexican-style beef brisket burger, quesabirria, El Frederiko hot dog, as well as dishing up the fan favourite tacos. The venue is popular with after work drinks and grabbing a bite to eat, with happy hour running Monday-Friday and Taco Tuesday’s offering 2 for $12 tacos. 

 

The Role 

We are looking for a Head Chef ideally with Mexican experience that can continue driving the food offering forward. This is a great opportunity to step up and really have ownership over multiple venues.  

 

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position and a love of Mexican food. 

  • Organised with a good understanding of managing a small kitchen team.  

  • Passion for good food and keeping consistency. 

  • Professional and with good communication and management skills. 

  • Knowledge around the financial acumen, training staff and WH&S 

  • The ability to be adaptable and work alongside the venues head chef on food direction
