The Role
A rare opportunity to lead a high-performing kitchen within one of Merivale’s busiest venues, working closely with Exec Chef Dan Hong.
We’re looking for a proven Head Chef (3+ years) with experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments, confident operating at a senior level while staying close to the pass.
- Lead, develop and inspire a team of 15+ chefs
- Own menu creation and evolve a diverse, high-volume offering (Thai + pub classics)
- Drive consistency, speed and quality across all service periods
- Partner with senior stakeholders on food direction and performance
- Be hands-on in service while leading from the front
- Manage financial performance — food cost, labour and forecasting
- Build a strong, engaged and high-performing kitchen culture
