The Role

We are calling for a passionate and experienced Bars Manager ready for the next challenge in their career. This person will be overseeing multiple bars across Building One of the ivy precinct, responcible for leading and developing a large team of bartenders!


This role will suit a passionate and experienced beverage driven professional, who truly understands what being hands-on means! Fun fact - the venue holds more than 10,000+ guests over weekend trade.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be leading from the front and setting standards high, managing each bar from end, ensuring a smooth operation of all moving parts across the venue.  As a Bar Manager you are the backbone to our business and It's your job to ensure that you maintain the highest level or service, most importantly every one of our customers receives an experience that'll leave them yearning for more.


Your focus will be around:

  • Stock control, variances, beverage COGS at target %
  • Compliance with licencing and stocktakes
  • Developing, teaching and coaching bar team around skills and product knowledge
  • Service standards, team culture and client relationships
  • Ongoing maintenance of all beverage offerings and their delivery in venue
  • Delivery of on trend, relevant and seasonal cocktail offerings
  • Finding growth opportunities, activation and delivery
  • Bar maintenance, cleanliness, organisation and presentation


Our venue literally pumps - so as a Bar Manager you will need to be experienced in high volume and not be afraid to drive people (staff & security alike) when the pressure is on. To really succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Exposure to managing large teams in multiple high-volume bars
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a Senior Management position
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial and operational awareness
  • Experience driving high standards through people
  • Previous ownership around recruitment, training and development of team
  • Influencing, coaching and presentation skills
  • Strong focus on delivering high standards and exceptional product
  • Accountability for aspects of your venue's P&L
  • Business and operational acumen
