ivy is Sydney’s very own wonderland, a leading dining and entertainment destination, with its world class design, impeccable service and an impressive constellation of restaurants, bars, rooftop pool and event spaces in the heart of Sydney CBD.
The precinct will be adding a beverage lead concept like no other in the city. This is a rare opportunity to open a new Merivale venue and work alongside Sydney’s biggest names in beverage, James Irvine, and Adam Dow.
The Role
Our Bar teams are all about creating unforgettable guest experiences and always striving to be the best at what we do.
We are looking for a creative, innovative, and engaging Bar Manager to add to our already legendary teams in some of our most premium venues across multiple of our Sydney venues. Some of these include venues like JAM Recor Bar, Palmer & Co, J&M and Charlie Parker’s just to name a few!
This role will suit a passionate and experienced beverage-driven professional, who truly understands what being hands-on means!
At Merivale, our people are at the forefront of everything we do and the key to our success. Coming into the business as a Bar Manager, you will have the opportunity to express both your creativity as well as your organisational, communication, and people skills.
Along with delivering great cocktails with speed, style, and charisma, you will also be responsible for managing the bar end to end. Your focus will be on developing your people and building an incredible team with a strong culture, as well as taking them on the journey of training and development to upskill them around product knowledge, service standards, and how to create a magical guest experience.
We are looking for experienced Managers who have:
- Creativity and flair
- Experience managing large teams of bartenders and bar team leaders.
- Experience working in a high-volume environment, overseeing multiple bar operations.
- Exceptional product knowledge and ability to drive consistency and excellence.
- Influencing, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Business and operational acumen.
- Knowledge and skills to develop staff around product knowledge, service skills, team culture, and guest relationships.
