Accounts Payable Administrator | Merivale

The Role

Merivale has over 90+ restaurants, pubs, bars. To keep these venues running in top shape it requires a lot of moving parts. This is where our Accounts team steps in, and we are searching for a new Accounts Payable Administrator.

As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, with additional support across the finance operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payments, maintain positive stakeholder relationships and contributing to process improvements in a dynamic, multi-entity environment 

Your Responsibilities are:

  • End-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including accurate entries of high-volume invoices (c. 25,000 per month across the team) and facilitating timely domestic and international supplier payments
  • Accurate expense coding across multiple business entities
  • Maintenance of internal systems including AP approval matrix and supplier master data
  • Management of supplier relationships – onboarding, responding to queries and frequent statement reconciliations
  • Investigating & resolving internal and external finance-related queries
  • Performing reconciliations for bank accounts, corporate credit cards and staff reimbursements
  • Contributing to system upgrades and new process rollouts
  • Assisting with other ad-hoc requests, analysis and reporting as required

 

The Essentials

  • Minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable experience at similarly sized high volume environment
  • Experience with large ERP and expense management systems. SunSystems, Basware and Concur experience highly regarded.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, particularly during busy periods
