Apprentice Chef Career Opportunity | Merivale

Want to be a chef? We're close to launching our second in-take for the Chef Apprenticeship Program!


In partnership with Allara Learning this accredited course will be kicking off again in June! No experience is required. This will be open to budding chefs in all our venues and across all cuisines. With a blend of classroom, online and on-the-job training, this accelerated program will provide an unrivalled launch pad for those beginning their career journey within the culinary industry. You’ll be provided with fantastic career development opportunities, a strong and supportive team environment and incredibly generous discounts and benefits – including meals when you are working and discounts for you and your friends to enjoy when you’re not working.


We’ll look after your formal qualifications too; Legendary chef Peter Doyle will be your mentor on the path to a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Being an apprentice is all about learning, so most importantly we’re looking for a great attitude, a "can do" approach and a keen interest in food. We want you to be a passionate and food focused apprentice ready to learn and build their career with Merivale. This will be no easy feat, being a chef means late nights, early mornings and working on weekends.This opportunity will provide you with a full-time role at one of our popular venues.


To be considered, you must be over the age of 16 and have unrestricted rights to work in Australia. Mature aged apprentices and first-time job seekers are encouraged to apply.
