The Venue 

 

El Loco is lively, loud and proud of it. A cantina based in the Surry Hills, combining food, fun and friends for the ultimate Mexican fiesta - is now looking for a strong chef to join the ranks!  

 

The El Loco menu at Excelsior includes a range of mouth-watering dishes, including Mexican-style Quesabirria, Burrito Bowl, D.I.Y Tacos, El Frederioko Hot Dog, as well as dishing up the fan favourite tacos. Whether it’s beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian, your tastebuds are in for a treat. Moreover, on Fridays and Saturdays the venue is open until 3am, so there’s always a fiesta going on at El Loco.   

 

The Role 

 

We are looking for a motivated Chef de Partie who wants to join this fun and dynamic team on a full-time basis, if you have: 

  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and a love of Mexican food
  • Provide consistent quality to the food and work practices 
  • Be able to manage day-to-day operations of appointed kitchen section
  • Stock management, receiving goods, stock rotation
  • Professional, punctual, and organised with good communication
