The Venue

A long-standing Narooma institution, Quarterdeck has been known by locals as a place to catch up and celebrate for almost 20 years. With a menu that champions the freshest produce the South Coast has to offer served alongside re-imagined tiki-style cocktails, it is the perfect waterfront venue to watch the sun go down in.


The Role

We are looking for a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join this team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to escape the city and work by the beach.


You will be working with a menu that draws inspiration from Mexican cuisine. You can expect to be serving dishes like grilled Mexican street corn with queso fresco, grilled steak with chimichurri and crips squash flower tacos.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to manage a small team of junior staff.
  • Strong organisational skills and great communication.
  • Flexibility to work across all sections of the kitchen and train junior chefs.
  • Good knowledge of kitchen administration, WH&S, and fantastic personal skills.
