The Venue 

A true food lover's institution known for embracing ideas that are a bit 'tongue in cheek' and testing the boundaries of flavours and fun. Set in a funky narrow three-story building in leafy Victoria St, Ms G's does things a little differently - and it works. From the pink neon front door to graffiti-covered walls, communal tables and moody lighting make this one of Sydney's trendiest hipster hang. It's purposely 'street' and a bit punk but the menu and food is one that truly holds its own! Our playful approach to cooking crisscrosses various Asian cuisines (please don’t make us say ‘fusion’) and borrows from others. As long as the dishes we create are balanced, textural and delicious, it works for us. And with executive chef Dan Hong leading the charge, we’re in good hands. Who can argue with cheeseburger spring rolls? 
 

The Role 
We're looking for a casual Demi Chef who can hit the ground running, the most important part for us is finding someone with the right attitude and motivation. 

You will need to be: 

 

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position, working in casual or high-end restaurants. 

  • Passionate with an interest in Asian cuisine and flavours. 

  • Have good communication, keep consistency and has good WH&S practices. 

  • Keen to learn and develop, be well organised and can train junior staff. 

  • Ideally has experience across the kitchen.
