The Venue

Fred’s, on Paddington’s bustling Oxford Street, feels like you’ve stepped into a friend’s rustic country home – the natural setting for our signature farm-to-table cooking. Seasonality, locally-sourced produce and a sense of occasion come together in our intimate open kitchen.
From the service to the produce, the magic is in the details. All of the meat and seafood we source is sustainably farmed and fished, the pasta is made from organic local wheat and semolina flours and the crème fraiche is house-made using organic local cream.


The wine list features the full spectrum of classic wines but also lesser known regions and varieties. Carefully tailored to complement our farm-to-table philosophy, it highlights small growers who care deeply about their impact on the land they caretake. Every wine has been selected for a reason, whether it’s minimal intervention, organic or biodynamic.

 

The Role

Fred’s is looking for an incredibly talented Venue Manager who will build on an enthusiastic and collaborative team vibe while also mentoring and coaching the team for a memorable, world class experience for our guests.

You will need to showcase great talent and drive a service focused culture. You will be leading from the front and setting standards high, managing the venue from end to end, ensuring a smooth operation of all moving parts across the venue.  

 

In such a key leadership role, you are backbone to our business and It's your job to ensure that you maintain the highest level or service, most importantly every one of our customers receives an experience that'll leave them yearning for more.

 

In this role you will be:

  • Leading from the front, ensuring your team understand what exceptional looks like everyday
  • Up-skilling and developing each team member specifically around premium product knowledge and service standards
  • Accountability for day to day operations and business performance
  • Ensuring each and every guest has a seamless and entertaining experience in our venue
  • Finding growth opportunities, activation and delivery
  • Effective financial management around COGS, sales budgets and profits
  • Effective stock management, quality improvement and reporting
