Warm and welcoming, Fred’s, on Paddington’s bustling Oxford Street, feels like you have stepped into a friend's rustic country home – the natural setting for our signature farm-to-table cooking. Seasonality, locally sourced produce, and a sense of occasion come together in our intimate open kitchen. Take a seat at the marble topped kitchen counter and watch the team calmly working with the season’s freshest produce, as they cook on an open fire hearth.
The Role
Fred's offers a high-quality, produce led, seasonal menu that changes often. We are searching for an incredible Chef de Partie that lives for simple food, created with the best quality ingredients, sourced regionally.
Working with a small brigade of chefs, you will have the opportunity to learn from the best and develop your skills. Everything is handmade in this kitchen, using intricate techniques. We are searching for someone who is an intuitive chef and is looking to develop, has good communication and presentation as you will be working in a very open kitchen with guest interaction occurring.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant or wine bar.
- Be confident cooking proteins and managing a section.
- Be happy to work in an open kitchen and engage with guests.
- Be organised, have a good attitude and be keen to learn.
