The Venue 

The traditional neighbourhood pub has been reimagined. Part-pub, part-restaurant, part-cocktail bar, The Paddington has its own distinct style, walk into the front bar for a snack and a beer, or head into the back to settle in for a more traditional restaurant style of service, the venue also boasts a private dining room for functions and events. Can’t stay? Grab a delicious homemade meal from our elevated Chicken Shop downstairs. 

Guided by Executive chef Ben Greeno, the menu is formed around the custom rotisseries lining the back wall of the open kitchen. The Chicken Shop is best known for serving juicy sticky-skinned chickens, roasted veggies and fresh vibrant salads. Everything at the Paddington is made in-house with local seasonal produce. 

 

The Role 

As a CDP, you will take real ownership of the Chicken Shop, managing the day-to-day prep and execution of this small space, making it your own domain. We are looking for someone who has great guest engagement, especially with the locals and can really deliver to the expected standard. Ideally, we are looking for someone that has the following experience: 

 

  • 2+ years in a quality restaurant or bistro. 

  • A passion for good food, quality ingredients and flavours. 

  • Can work autonomously, deliver a fantastic product, and has an eye for detail.  

  • Great guest engagement and can bring some personality to the space. 

  • Organised, well presented and energetic. 

 

This role would be great for someone who is looking for a bit more balance and is available during the day, with 3 shifts working 9am - 5 pm.
