The Venue

The Role

We are on the hunt for a head chef to take the helm of this large Inner West pub that caters to a diverse local crowd. We are looking for someone that thrives in a lively and busy venue, enjoys cooking pub classics and bistro style food. The menu offers a good selection of dishes from rotisserie meats from the deck kitchen to burgers and seasonal salads.

 

We are ideally looking for a head chef that has worked in pubs or bistro restaurants and is still hands on in the kitchen. Has experience with short order cooking, has managed a team of 10 plus chefs, can work closely with the pubs portfolio exec chef and collaborate on menu direction and drive the product forward, while keeping consistency.  

 

To be successful in this role you will need to have a good understanding of the kitchen financials, work to forecasts, develop your team and work closely with the other senior management team. This is a great opportunity to join Merivale at a senior level.
