We are on the lookout for an Assistant Restaurant Manager looking to join our Movida team.

The Lorne hotel is situated a few hours outside of Melbourne along the beautiful and ever popular Great Ocean Road on the Surf Coast. This multi-faceted hotel, situated just a few hundred meters from the beach, draws the tourist crowds and locals alike for its food and location. There is something for everyone including at Movida, our European inspired Tapas restaurant.

The Role

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll own the delivery of an exceptional dining experience, work closely with the Restaurant Manager to lead a team of experienced wait staff, and are accountable for training and up-skilling the wider team around premium product and service. You’ll manage day to day operations of the restaurant and ensure each guest has an exceptional dining experience. You’ll have the chance to develop and lead a world-class team that delivers nothing short of excellence. Additionally, your attention to detail is second to none, you'll show initiative, be focussed and always own the result.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years experience in a high volume business holding an ASM role or working as a RM in a smaller venue
  • must be passionate about Spanish food and thrive working in a fast paced environment
  • experience working with wine as well as a good understanding off all beverages is preferential
  • you will be guest focussed and willing to spend time to develop and train new and existing staff of different capabilities
  • enjoy a hands on management style and are passionate about ensuring consistency are preferential
  • working in collaboration with all team members is essential
