The Venue

Have you been to the middle floor of Coogee Pav lately? A seaside spot that boasts a Cocktail Bar, Tapas Bar and Dining Room that looks like it’s been plucked straight off the European coastline. Each venue will have its own unique identity, creating exceptional food and drinks and unforgettable experiences, right on the doorstep of Coogee’s sun-soaked coastline.


Una Mas, meaning ‘one more’ is a delight to behold, drawing the dinners in with its marble bench tops and open kitchen concept. Customers can enjoy some uncomplicated, well executed and flavoursome food that speaks to the flavours of the Med, think Spain, Italy and Croatia. The kitchen has the very best equipment with the plancha ‘grill’ at the heart of it. You will be working in a small team of 4 chefs that are dedicated professionals and are focused on producing great food.


The Role

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at Una Mas, if you have a love of Mediterranean flavours and great produce then this could be the role for you. If you can bring the following attributes, then we want to talk to you:


  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position at a high-end restaurant, wine or tapas bar
  • Enjoy working in a smaller venue and team with a real focus on the customer experience and execution of food  
  • Happy working in an open kitchen and engaging with guests
  • Knowledge of Spanish or Mediterranean cuisine ideal but not essential
  • Organised, good attitude and management experience, you will be running the kitchen when the head chef is off
