Pizza Sous Chef | Coogee Pavilion

The Venue 

Welcome to Coogee Pavilion, or as the locals call it ‘ The Pav’. The ground floor is perfect for family get-togethers and casual meals. The menu itself has been created with seaside dining in mind; from sashimi and freshly shucked oysters to wood-fired pizza, fresh mussels cooked in white wine and garlic and seasonal salads and bowls.  

 

The Role 

We are looking for a Pizza Sous Chef to join our team at Coogee Pavilion in a full-time role. You will work closely with Merivale pizza maestros Vincenzo Biondini and Sara Masi on product development and menu changes.

What makes you a great fit for this role: 

 

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Pizza Chef. 

  • Proficient working with a wood-fired pizza oven and hand stretching dough. 

  • Creating Neapolitan style pizzas from scratch including pizza bases and sauces. 

  • Experience with high-volume and managing junior staff. 

  • Great communication and a team player. 

  • Professional with a good attitude and attention to detail. 

  • Well-presented and comfortable working in an open kitchen.
