The Role
Our Cellar team know what it takes to deliver a guest experience like no other. As we prepare for another busy and successful year, we are on the lookout for a Cellar Manager to lead this already incredible team. This is a great opportunity for a Cellar Manager who is a true hospitality professional at heart looking to bring their skills and experience to an exciting new venture in their career. We are looking for someone with strong cellar management experience who is committed to imbedding themselves in the team and the venue.
This person will be accountable for ordering and receiving all stock and all stock movements throughout the venue. We also build and develop teams who know how to deliver guest experiences like no other. Being a key leader in our business means you are expected to always drive the teams in support to create magical moments for every guest – big and small!
Specifically your position will also include:
- Stock Control Management - including ordering & receiving, quality and wastage control, weekly spot checks, monthly stock takes and comprehensive Inventory Management & Reporting through Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems
- Deliveries and Good & Services - including receipting, rigorous Food Safety checks, WHS compliance within loading/dock zones and register of all inbound & outbound contractors
- Merivale standards – including the adherence to the high level of Merivale cellar and procedural standards
- Beverage service systems/equipment – including the ongoing cleaning and maintenance of bar. BOH and cellar
- Stakeholder Management – including the upkeep of robust relationships with key Head office teams such a Supply Chain and Procurement
With a key focus on delivering everything front of house, nights are required. It is important to note that this role has a high level of heavy manual handling, so being fit and active is a fantastic bonus.
Reporting into the Coogee Pavilion General Manager, you will be supporting several venues within the precinct therefore it is essential that you have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, attention to detail and previous exposure working in a busy, fast-paced environment. 2 - 4 years' experience in a managerial role is essential as well as a strong knowledge of draught beer systems, post mix systems and keg handling.
