The Venue

Tucked away in Ash Street, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into the backstreets of Paris. The Role

This is a great opportunity to join the well-established team at Felix. We are looking for a leader that can bring their maturity and management experience to the Head Chef position. This role does not come up very often and is suited for someone looking for longevity in their next head chef role. You will work closely and collaboratively with the venue head chef and exec chef of the Ivy Precinct, learning the fundaments of working at Merivale and what it takes to be successful in one of our busiest venues.

You will be joining a passionate team that is hard working, has a love for French cuisine and cooking techniques. You will be responsible for menu creation, developing, driving, and inspiring a team of 25+ chefs. We are looking for someone that has experience in a fine dining or hatted venue, can hold their own in a busy service while staying professional, supportive and engaged.

The successful chef will have solid management experience and worked in a head chef role for a minimum of 3+ years. The position involves working collaboratively with other key members of the restaurant team, confident working at a senior level while still being hands on in the kitchen. You will be accountable for the kitchen financial results, including food and labour costs and forecasting targets.
