Our story

Owned and run by the Hemmes family for over 60 years, Merivale began as a fashion house that catapulated Sydney into the swinging-sixties for all things music and fashion. With a knack for creativity, “The House of Merivale” injected a new energy into the theatre of Sydney transforming the brand to what we know now as one of the largest leading hospitality empires in Australia.

Each space is carefully executed with the same attention to detail across a seemingly endless supply of inspired concepts, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, nightlife and retail.


The Role

We’re in search of a Talent Advisor to join our team of bright and accomplished HR professionals on a causal basis. With 80+ unique venues across Sydney, the Merivale Talent team is responsible for attracting and engaging hundreds of applicants every week.


A fast paced and rapidly changing environment, your focus will be leading and managing end to end recruitment for all our Front of House vacancies across the business.


On any given day you will be posting jobs ad, screening candidates (both over the phone and face to face), facilitating group interviews, scheduling trials and partnering with our leadership team on creative ways to attract great people to our business.


We're keeping an open mind as to the ‘perfect fit’ however envisage this role suiting a Recruitment Coordinator, experienced in a high-volume environment and looking for a step up into an advisor position, or an established Recruitment/Talent Advisor looking for more ownership over your portfolio and/or further career advancement within an industry you enjoy. With iconic venues such as The Newport, Mr Wong, Felix, Fred’s, Ms G’s, Queen Chow and Coogee Pavilion in your remit, you’ll be working in a high-volume environment. To satisfy these volumes, you'll need to be organized, structured, and keep your cool under pressure.
