The Venue

Reigniting the unforgettable atmosphere of one of Sydney's most iconic streets, The Paddington offers a world-class dining experience in the perfect mix of relaxed pub and cocktail bar. Helmed by brilliant executive chef Ben Greeno, The Paddington serves Sydney's finest rotisserie meats, fish and vegetables, as well as lighter shared meals.


You would be working closely with Ben Greeno, who has come from Michelin-starred Sat Bains, NOMA, and most recently Sydney's Momofuku Seiobo. He heads the kitchen as Executive Chef and is serving up rotisserie-roasted fare.


The Job

As Sous Chef, you will take real ownership over your team, leading and guiding them in the kitchen as well as owning training. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will have oversight to all aspects of the business including menu execution and financal, you will be expected to understand and influence change, growth and efficiencies. Ideally, we are looking for someone that has the following experience:


  • 3 – 4 years in a quality restaurant or pub with a good knowledge around meat and fish
  • Good management and team leadership skills
  • A passion for good food, quality ingredients and flavours
  • A good attitude is a must and attention to detail is key
  • Organised, responsible and hands on in the kitchen
