We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to join our The Royal Bondi team.

 

The Venue

The Royal Bondi, an iconic watering hole since 1907, this place knows how to have a good time. The front bar at The Royal gives you everything you’d expect from a classic local, and we’ve thrown in few extras, because, why not? If you’re keen to make the party happen, choose some crowd-pleasers from our digital take on the old-school jukebox.. Then you can make your way out the back and enter our casual Italian eatery Totti’s. Headed up by exec chef Mike Eggert, Totti’s is all about enjoying simple, delicious food with your favourite people. 

 

The Role

Merivale are after a stand-out Operations Manager to head up the entire operation across The Royal Bondi. We need someone who is a strong and passionate leader, not afraid to roll up their sleeves working in venue alongside their team in order to better understand and drive guest experience, strategy and growth!

 

Reporting into the Venue Manager, you will run the day-to-day operations within main bar around all things people, product and performance. Your day could look like anything from management of compliance, to curation of F&B menus, to stocktakes and audits, to driving team training and initiatives, to collaborating with industry leaders around achieving company visions and goals!

 

At The Royal Bondi, we work together as a team to provide exceptional experiences for the guest, and always provide feedback to one another. This role will suit a passionate hospitality professional, who can adapt to a range of service styles and product offerings within the one venue.

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have exposure to managing large teams in a high-volume restaurant, pub or bar
  • Be ultimately accountable for aspects of your venue's P&L
  • Have a strong focus on delivering high standards and exceptional product
  • Be hands-on and operational
  • Be responsible for developing the skills of the staff around product knowledge, service skills, team culture and guest relationships
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills
  • Have a minimum of 2+ years in a management position
